‘The facilities and services provided at the Delamere Centre are essential’
CANsupport is a registered charity run by volunteers based at the Delamere Support and Information Centre, Halton Hospital, Runcorn.
The charity supports people who use the oncology clinics at the Delamere Centre and those who are receiving chemotherapy in the Cantreat Unit at Halton Hospital.
We aim to help anyone affected by cancer, including family, friends and carers. The charity raises funds to provide support services including how to deal with practical issues like access to information and welfare rights advice. We also fund a range of complementary therapies and counselling services that provide emotional support to help you to cope with some of the stresses caused by cancer.
Donations allow us to offer two specifically designed courses that can help you to cope with the challenges cancer raises either during or after treatment. All these additional services are provided free of charge to patients, family, friends and carers and are not funded by Warrington and Halton NHS Foundation Trust. They are funded entirely from donations made by individuals, community organisations and local businesses. Your donation is vital in order for us to continue providing these invaluable services.
Perhaps someone close to you has cancer and you want to know how best to support them?
