Complementary Therapies

An increasing number of individuals are embracing complementary therapies as a means of enhancing their overall physical and mental well-being. 

The Goddess Course

Tailored for individuals navigating the challenges of hair loss resulting from medical treatment, this course addresses concerns about post-treatment appearance.

Meditation Sessions

Our meditation sessions offer a serene sanctuary where you can temporarily set aside your daily worries and embrace tranquility.

Counselling

Engaging in open discussions with a qualified counselor can provide invaluable assistance to both patients and their caregivers as they navigate the challenges of diagnosis, surgery, and treatment.

Complementary Therapies

Many people are choosing to use complementary therapies to help provide support with their physical and mental health.

The therapists are highly trained, fully insured and have many years of experience under their therapeutic belts.

They can offer a range of non clinical treatments.

The therapies include aromatherapy, massage, reflexology and reiki. Some beauty treatments including facials, manicures and pedicures are available.

The Goddess Course

This course is aimed at patients coping with hair loss and are concerned about their appearance following treatment.

The course aims to improve a patient’s self-esteem and confidence with a focus on the visible effects of cancer treatment such as hair loss, eyebrows, and eyelashes, damage to nails and help with skincare. The class includes practical makeup sessions, skin and wig care

Meditation Sessions

Meditation sessions are a calm space where you can put day-to-day concerns to one side and enjoy some peace of mind. You will be taken through gentle breathing and relaxation exercises to help release tension. This is followed by guided meditation which gives you the chance to be in a more peaceful and relaxed state of mind. The sessions are held every 3rd Tuesday of the month commencing at 3pm and last one hour.

Counselling

Talking issues through with a trained counsellor can help support patients and the people who care for them throughout diagnosis, surgery and treatment. Clients are offered person-centred counselling or cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT).

 Cansupport Garden

Using donations from patients, their families and local companies, Cansupport has created a garden attached to the Macmillan Delamere Information and Support Centre. It has become a tranquil space appreciated and used by staff and patients.
